About
Supertonic was founded in 2009 by Paula Murray with a desire to make great interior design accessible to all. And to do this in the most sustainable, cost conscious, environmentally friendly way possible.
Leaving Glasgow Design school of art in 1994 with a first class honours degree, Paula has worked continuously in the field of design, based in different continents including the Far East, North America and Europe. She has held senior positions in CDI International and Graven Images before setting up Supertonic in Fife, Scotland.
Supertonic is a teaching practice. Paula believes in investing and developing young talent in the workplace and that education is the single best route in empowering people including her team, trusted contractors and her client base. On an annual basis she seeks to take on a placement student or graduate from Napier University, Edinburgh where she is also a lecturer.
An avid consumer of new thinking, innovation and continuous improvement, Paula’s clients describe her as incredibly humble, hardworking and a deeply purposeful listener who understands what they want and delivers beyond their imagination.
Paula leads Supertonic and maintains responsibility for all client relations, personally taking each client brief at the beginning of every project and keeping a close eye on all Supertonic deliverable work.
Supertonic’s roster of clients include: Bombay Sapphire, Martini and Rossi, Pernod Ricard, Mesart GWR, Arran Distillers, Scottish Whisky Experience, Lindores Abbey Distillery, The R&A, Jannettas Gelateria, St Andrews Links Trust, Scottish Canals, Whyte and Mackay, Inver House Distillers, The British Council and numerous bars, restaurants and retail establisments.
